IIH UK

Empowering Lives: Tailored Exercise Solutions for IIH Patients

Project Overview

IIH UK is a charity organization dedicated to providing support and guidance to individuals living with Idiopathic Intracranial Hypertension (IIH). This condition manifests through various debilitating symptoms, including headaches, tinnitus, temporary blindness, double vision, blind spots, and neck and shoulder pain.

1FitLife was tasked with producing a series of engaging and informative videos aimed at helping those affected by IIH. These videos, featuring IIH patients and a specialist physiotherapist from Guys & St. Thomas’ Hospital, offer easy-to-follow exercises designed to manage IIH symptoms at home. Each session, lasting up to 30 minutes, is segmented into 10-minute sections focusing on strength, cardio, core, and mobility.

Project Solution

In collaboration with IIH UK trustees and medical professionals, 1FitLife meticulously planned and designed the set to ensure it was clinically appropriate and did not overstimulate viewers—a crucial consideration for those with IIH. On-screen graphics and music were carefully selected to be suitable for the IIH community. The exercise routines were tailored to offer various levels of intensity, ensuring inclusivity regardless of the severity of the viewer’s symptoms on any given day.

This initiative allowed 1FitLife and IIH UK to produce medically beneficial content that is specifically designed for those living with IIH. Recognising the profound physical and mental impacts of the condition, these videos aim to offer meaningful exercise and mindfulness practices that can significantly enhance the quality of life for IIH patients.

Marketing Support

To support the launch of the content, we created a library of marketing videos, designed to raise awareness about the new resources and encourage engagement within the IIH community. They aim to highlight the expertise and personal insights that went into creating these resources, reinforcing their value and relevance within the IIH community.

Impact

These videos not only provide practical exercise routines but also foster a sense of community and encouragement for those managing this challenging condition. We hope that this content will bring positive change to the lives of IIH sufferers, no matter their daily challenges.
