Project Overview

Courtney Thorne designs cutting-edge wearable and fixed technology that ensures the elderly and vulnerable can feel secure, knowing they can access help at the touch of a button. These devices are essential for safeguarding residents and nurses in emergencies and are provided to residential care homes and hospitals. We were commissioned to create engaging and warm photography to showcase this technology in situ at Bourne View Care Home.

Project Solution

The systems are versatile, functioning as wearable devices for easy mobility and as fixed installations. To highlight this versatility, we selected a variety of locations, including a dining hall, living room, bedroom, and outdoor terrace. We emphasised ‘lifestyle’ by showcasing the facilities of the residential home, whilst the device was prominently included in every scene.

Our lighting techniques were designed to evoke a sense of safety, and our compositions frequently featured carer and resident models in conversation, underscoring the lifestyle theme of the shoot.
In the post-production phase, we aimed to enhance the imagery with a warm and comforting feel.

The final images will be used for marketing purposes across the Courtney Thorne website, printed media, and social media campaigns to promote their products.
