David Lloyd Health Clubs is Europe’s leading health, sport, and leisure group, with over 120 clubs across the UK and Europe.

As part of their commitment to supporting members beyond the gym, David Lloyd set out to transform their app into a comprehensive wellbeing solution, one that encourages active, balanced living through fitness, nutrition, and mindfulness. They wanted to move beyond traditional fitness content and create a truly holistic digital experience, one that supported every aspect of wellbeing while driving in-club engagement and long-term member retention.

We partnered with David Lloyd to build a library of on-demand workouts and wellbeing plans, designed to help members achieve their personal goals, from improved flexibility and strength to enhanced mind–body connection and overall wellness.

The challenge was to design and produce scalable, high-quality content that blended expert insight, behavioural motivation, and real-life practicality, all while feeling consistent with David Lloyd’s premium brand.

Working closely with David Lloyd’s product, UX, and design teams, we created a content ecosystem, tailored to every user’s needs.

  • Personalised Wellbeing Plans: We developed plan philosophies and training schedules aligned with specific member goals, whether building strength, improving mobility, or introducing fitness to beginners.

  • Expert Collaboration: Partnering with sports psychologists, nutritionists, and professional presenters, we produced hundreds of sessions combining workouts, meditations, recipes, and lifestyle content

  • Holistic Experience: Each plan integrated visuals, audios, and written content to create a complete wellbeing journey that reinforced motivation and mindfulness.

  • In-Club Connection: Plans were designed to complement on-site facilities, encouraging members to engage with their local club and stay active beyond the digital space

By integrating fitness, nutrition, and mindfulness into one cohesive experience, the new app empowers members to take ownership of their health, while strengthening their connection to the club community.
